By IFC Films and Maslow Entertainment have premiered the full-length trailer for “Late Night with the Devil” which hails from Australian filmmakers Colin and Cameron Cairns (“100 Bloody Acres”).
The film had its world premiere at SXSW last year to rave reviews and holds a stellar 100% (8.2/10) on Rotten Tomatoes from several dozen reviews.
The story unfolds on Halloween night 1977. Johnny Carson rival, Jack Delroy (David Dastmalchian), is the host of “Night Owls,” a once hugely popular syndicated talk show.
A year on from the tragic death of Jack’s wife, ratings have plummeted, and sponsors are getting nervous. Desperate to turn his fortunes around, Jack pulls out all the stops for his annual Halloween special.
He books a psychic, a professional skeptic, a parapsychologist and a young girl allegedly possessed by the devil… What could possibly go wrong?
Laura Gordon, Ian Bliss, Fayssal Bazzi, Ingrid Torelli, Rhys Auteri, Georgina Haig and Josh Quong Tart co-star in the film which unfolds mostly in real time.
Mat Govoni, Adam White, John Molloy, Roy Lee, Steven Schneider, and Derek Dauchy produce. The film opens in the U.S. on March 22nd and in Australia on April 11th.
