Whilst the upcoming “Deadpool & Wolverine” will see plenty of characters from past entries returning, two notable absentees from the recent teaser trailer were Zazie Beetz’s Domino and Josh Brolin’s Cable.

Of course, that was just a trailer, so theoretically, both could appear in the new film. Brolin has added fuel to the fire recently with comments from a recent Collider interview (via The Playlist whilst out promoting “Dune: Part Two”.

He was asked straight up if he was in the third “Deadpool” and if not, why not. He responded with a mischievous” “No. I don’t know. Because Ryan [Reynolds] doesn’t like me? I dunno… Maybe?”.

As he said the last word, he reportedly took a deliberate beat and looked directly at the camera. Brolin previously suggested a long time back when the second film was coming out that had more appearances as Cable scheduled, but the sale of Fox to Disney scrapped any further X-Men projects in development.

The new film’s teaser trailer released during Super Bowl LVIII had 365 million global views in its first 24 hours, becoming the most viewed first day for a movie trailer of all time.

The film is currently slated for a theatrical release worldwide on July 26th.
