Apple TV+ has announced its 2024 spring and summer TV series slate with a bunch of premiere dates, a new promo reel, and first look footage and photos from numerous high-profile shows.
Amongst them are first glimpses of the Colin Farrell-led “Sugar,” the Jake Gyllenhaal-led new take on “Presumed Innocent,” Michael Douglas as Benjamin Franklin in historical drama “Franklin,” Noel Fielding’s new comedy “The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin” and more. Here’s the breakdown:
“The New Look” (February 14th). A historical drama series starring Ben Mendelsohn as Christian Dior and Juliette Binoche as Coco Chanel.
“The Dynasty: New England Patriots” (February 16th). Ten-part documentary event showcasing the rise of the New England Patriots.
“Snoopy Presents: Welcome Home, Franklin” (February 16th). It is an origin story for the beloved Peanuts character Franklin and follows how he approaches making new friends.
“Constellation” (February 21st). An eight-part conspiracy-based psychological thriller starring Noomi Rapace and Jonathan Banks.
“Messi’s World Cup: The Rise of a Legend” (February 21st). A four-part documentary event about the career of the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner.
“The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin” (March 1st). A six-episode comedy-adventure series in which Noel Fielding plays the legendary British highwayman.
“The Reluctant Traveler With Eugene Levy” Season 2 (March 8th). Levy as he makes his way through Europe over seven episodes.
“Manhunt” (March 15th). Seven-part true crime limited series about the hunt for John Wilkes Booth following Lincoln’s assassination. Tobias Menzies stara.
“Palm Royale” (March 20th). Kristen Wiig, Laura Dern, Allison Janney, Josh Lucas, Leslie Bibb, Bruce Dern and Carol Burnett star in this Palm Beach-set series.
“Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock” (March 29th). The Fraggles return for a second season.
“Loot” Season 2 (April 3rd). The Maya Rudolph-led comedy returns for a second season.
“Sugar” (April 5th). An eight-episode drama starring Colin Farrell as American private investigator John Sugar investigating the mysterious disappearance of Olivia Siegel.
“Girls State” (April 5th). A documentary following 500 teenage girls from across Missouri on a week-long immersion in democracy.
“Franklin” (April 12th). Michael Douglas stars as American polymath Benjamin Franklin in this historical limited series.
“The Big Door Prize” Season 2 (April 24th). The Morpho machine readies the residents of Deerfield for a mysterious ‘next stage’.
“Acapulco” – Season 3 (May 1st). Older Maximo (Eugenio Derbez) finds himself returning to a Las Colinas he no longer recognizes. In 1985 younger Maximo (Enrique Arrizon) continues his climb.
“Dark Matter” (May 8th). A nine-episode sci-fi thriller series starring Joel Edgerton, Jennifer Connelly, Alice Braga and Jimmi Simpson.
“Trying” Season 4 (May 22nd). Several years on, Nikki (Esther Smith) and Jason (Rafe Spall) have built a little nuclear family.
“Presumed Innocent” (June 14th). Jake Gyllenhaal leads this eight-episode limited series adaptation of the Scott Turow novel. The project hails from David E. Kelley and J.J. Abrams.
“Land of Women” (Summer 2024). A six-episode dramedy starring Eva Longoria, Carmen Maura and Victoria Bazua.
