Appearing at the premiere of Amazon’s new “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” series in New York, actor/musician Donald Glover confirmed to ET Online he’s all in on the “Community” movie.
He tells the outlet he was texting today with the creatives involved and was told that the “script was done,” but it hasn’t arrived in his inbox yet so he has yet to read it.
Glover, who portrayed Troy Barnes across the first four seasons of the beloved comedy series, re-affirms his commitment to the film saying: “It’s really just a schedule thing [but] I’m in. I’m all in.”
Peacock announced a movie was in the works back in late 2022, with the film to reunite cast members Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Jim Rash and Ken Jeong along with original series creator Dan Harmon.
Back in November, Harmon says the strikes helped them get the script into the kind of fighting shape it wasn’t in early last year. Andrew Guest, who penned some of the show’s most beloved episodes, serves as a co-writer on the film.
Peacock has also scored the full library of the show’s six seasons for their streaming service. Meanwhile Glover’s “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” launches today on the Prime Video service.
