Michael Jackson Biopic
Nine-year-old actor Juliano Krue Valdi has been cast as Michael Jackson, during his early days in the Jackson 5, in Antoine Fuqua’s biopic about the King of Pop at Lionsgate and Universal Pictures.
Krue, who has amassed nearly 150,000 followers on Instagram, is known for his Jackson-inspired dance moves and costumes. Jackson’s own nephew, Jaafar Jackson, will star as him in the latter scenes. Filming begins next week. [Source: Variety]
Fountain of Youth
Domhnall Gleeson has joined John Krasinski and Natalie Portman in the cast of Guy Ritchie’s “Fountain of Youth” at Apple and Skydance Media.
Written by James Vanderbilt, the story follows estranged siblings (Krasinski and Portman) who partner on a global heist to find the mythological Fountain of Youth. Filming will begin in the first quarter of the year. [Source: Deadline]
Jasmin Savoy Brown, one of the ‘core four’ of the last two “Scream” films, says she hasn’t “gotten a call” from SpyGlass Entertainment about returning for “Scream VII”. She tells ET: “I think if you want to ask Spyglass what they’re doing, you can. I haven’t gotten a call.”
