Actress Cindy Morgan, best known for her works in 1980s classics like TRON and Caddyshack, has died in Florida. She was 69.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office confirmed her death. She had not been seen for several days and her housemate, who had been on vacation, returned home. They got no response from Morgan’s room in their residence, became concerned for her welfare, and called the police. No foul play is suspected and police confirmed natural causes.

Morgan was born in Chicago and worked both in radio and as a mechanic whilst in acting school. Her big break came at 26 for her role as Lacey Underall in 1980 golfing comedy Caddyshack. She reflected on making the film, which also starred Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, and Rodney Dangerfield, in a 2012 interview.

“Caddyshack was my first film and I’ll say that the end product was so completely different, it was originally about the caddies,” she said. “So at first, I had nothing to lose to audition. It was fun. All I did was focus on making the person sweat. Look ’em in the eye, do that thing many women know how to do.”

Morgan went on to star in Tron (1982) as Lora Baines, a computer programmer, and Yori, her alter-ego. The film is hailed as one of the first to use extended sequences of CGI. Though Morgan was not in the sequel, Tron: Legacy (2010), she returned to the franchise as the voice of Ma3a in the 2003 video game Tron 2.0.

She starred in Paul Schrader’s American Gigolo, sci-fi action feature Galaxis, and television movies Amanda & the Alien, The Midnight Hour, and Out There. A recurring role on Falcon Crest would follow, along with guest spots on Matlock, Hunter, The Fall Guy, CHiPs, and The Love Boat.

Outside of her screen work, Morgan was passionate about supporting the United States military and helping to alleviate the financial hardship of some veterans. This stemmed from her father serving during World War II. She was director of the Caddyshack Reunion Golf Tournament in 2006, which reunited some of the cast of Caddyshack (Morgan included), along with other celebrities.
