Actress Cindy Morgan, best known for her works in 1980s classics like “TRON” and “Caddyshack,” has died in Florida. She was 69.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office confirmed her death, which they said was due to natural causes. No details on survivors or memorials are presently available.
Morgan was born in Chicago and worked both in radio and a mechanic whilst in acting school. Her big break came at 26 for her role as Lacey Underall in 1980 golfing comedy “Caddyshack”.
She then went on to a role in Paul Schrader’s “American Gigolo” before a major role in 1982’s “TRON” both as a computer programmer in the “real” world, and her alter-ego in the computer world.
She also starred in the sci-fi action feature “Galaxis” and telemovies like “Amanda & the Alien,” “The Midnight Hour” and “Out There”.
She had plenty of TV roles including a recurring role on “Falcon Crest” and guest spots on “Matlock,” “Hunter,” “The Fall Guy,” “CHiPs,” “The Love Boat,” “The Larry Sanders Show” and more.
