By Hulu has premiered the trailer for “Death and Other Details,” its new murder mystery series starring Mandy Patinkin as a Poirot-esque “world’s greatest detective” named Rufus Cotesworth.
The story centers on the restless Imogene Scott (Violett Beane) who finds herself becoming the prime suspect in a murder mystery onboard a lavishly restored Mediterranean ocean liner.
Every pampered guest and exhausted crew member is a potential suspect though and to prove her innocence, she must partner with a man she hates – Rufus.
Lauren Patten, Rahul Kohli, Angela Zhou, Hugo Diego Garcia, Pardis Saremi and Linda Emond co-star. The series was created by Mike Weiss and Heidi Cole McAdams, who also wrote the screenplays for all ten episodes.
Marc Webb directs the pilot whilst Dinh Thai, Yangzom Brauen, and David Petrarca also helm episodes. Webb, Weiss, and McAdams executive produce.
The first two episodes premiere on Hulu on January 16th with the remaining eight rolling out weekly through to March 5th when the final two episodes will arrive together.
