Veteran British actor Ralph Ineson is reportedly suing Disney, alleging he sustained permanent shoulder damage whilst filming a scene for the Disney+ series “Willow”.
The 54-year-old actor tells the UK’s The Sun (via Deadline) he was participating in a night shoot during the production in South Wales of the series sequel to the hit 1988 movie.
Ineson was dressed as a knight in armour and his character was battling with a nine-foot-tall ogre called The Scourge. Ineson fell awkwardly and dislocated his shoulder.
Ineson is now suing for damages of up to $190,500, claiming that his injuries have prevented him taking on subsequent physical roles and his ability to play roles involving fighting and horse-riding permanently impaired.
His suit claims the producers are liable both through exerting pressure of filming to deadline, and not cleaning the steps where Ineson fell.
Ineson is a long-time UK character actor who first hit cinemas with “Shopping” and “First Knight” back in the mid-1990s. He’s best known for his role in the UK’s “The Office,” the last three “Harry Potter” films, “Game of Thrones,” “The Witch,” “From Hell,” “Ready Player One,” “Chernobyl,” “The Green Knight,” “Brahms: The Boy II,” “Dolittle,” “Gunpower Milkshake” and more.
