Ezra
Bleecker Street has scored the U.S. rights to the Robert De Niro, Rose Byrne and Bobby Cannavale-led family comedy “Ezra” which will release next year. Tony Goldwyn directs.

Cannavale plays a man struggling through the failure of his career and marriage who moves back in with his father (De Niro) as he and his ex-wife remain at odds on how to best raise their autistic son. Vera Farmiga, Rainn Wilson and Whoopi Goldberg also star. [Source: THR]

The Creator
Gareth Edwards’ sci-fi drama “The Creator” will be available to purchase or rent digitally on November 14th via PVOD platforms like Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango/Vudu. In addition, it will come to digital, 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD on December 12th. [Source: Blu-ray.com]

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
A stage musical adaptation of 1985 teen comedy “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Helen Hunt, is in the works. Lively McCabe Entertainment and Primary Wave Music’s stage version will be directed by Jennifer Werner.

The story follows a high school gymnast whose strict Army colonel father instructs her to stay out of the spotlight. But when she moves to a new town and meets the bold and supportive Lynne, she disobeys her dad to enter a TV dance competition. [Source: Variety]

James Bond
“Barbie” filmmaker Greta Gerwig says that 36-year-old British actor Kingsley Ben-Adir would be a perfect fit for the next James Bond. Gerwig tells Variety she was left highly impressed by Ben-Adir’s responses to her direction on set: “Everybody’s jaws dropped. I was like, get this footage to whoever is making James Bond immediately.”

The actor drew acclaim for his role as Malcolm X in “One Night in Miami” and had key roles in films like “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword,” “The Commuter” along with shows like “The OA,” “Peaky Blinders,” “The Comey Rule,” “High Fidelity,” “Deep State,” “Vera,” and most recently Marvel Studios’ “Secret Invasion” as the villain.

Doctor Who
The BBC has announced that this year’s upcoming Christmas special, the first full adventure with Ncuti Gatwa’s Fifteenth Doctor, will be titled “The Church on Ruby Road”.

The episode, set to air on Christmas Day on BBC One, will offer fans more insights into the Fifteenth Doctor’s relationship with his new companion. [Source: Digital Spy]
