Jason Statham will star, David Ayer (“Suicide Squad,” “End of Watch”) will direct and Sylvester Stallone will pen the script for “Levon’s Trade” which has been set up at Black Bear and BlockFilm.

The story follows Levon Cade (Statham) who left his ‘profession’ behind him to go straight and work in construction – aiming for a simple life and to be a good father to his daughter.

But when his boss’ teenage daughter Jenny vanishes, he is called upon to re-employ the skills that made him a legendary figure in the shadowy world of black ops. His hunt for the missing college student takes him into the heart of a sinister criminal conspiracy.

The film will be Stallone’s first script since “Creed II” in 2018 and “Rambo: Last Blood in 2019, adapting the novel by author Chuck Dixon.

The book itself is the first of a eleven-book series thus far and Stallone was developing the work initially as a TV series via his Balboa Productions label. Ayer and Chris Long will produce and filming aims to begin in March in London.
