One month following its theatrical release, “Madame Web” has been mad available to rent/purchase digitally online with the release coming ahead of a disc release on April 30th.
The film has become such an infamous flop already, one of the biggest in recent comic book movie history, that it was the subject of two jokes at the Oscars last weekend.
To date the Dakota Johnson-led tentpole has a worldwide gross of under the $100 million, combined with a dismal 13% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Despite being a dud, the film generated a lot of online discussion and could get some curious types who wouldn’t bother with a cinema trip to check it out via digital.
Whilst Johnson has already discussed her feelings about the film, her co-star Sydney Sweeney has remained fairly silent about the film.
That changed earlier this week when she told The LA Times: “I was just hired as an actress in it, so I was just along for the ride for whatever was going to happen.”
Sweeney is coming off box-office success with “Anyone But You” and has landed rave reviews for her work in the upcoming “Immaculate” opening next weekend.
“Madame Web” is available to rent/buy now on Apple TV+ and Prime Video.
