Amazon Prime Video has released the official trailer for the second season of “American Rust,” the crime drama that originally aired on Showtime.
Panned by critics, the series was cancelled for six months until Amazon revived it for a second season now going by the name “American Rust: Broken Justice”.
The first season adapted the Philipp Meyer novel and is set in a fictional small town in Pennsylvania’s Rust Belt. Jeff Daniels starred as Chief of Police Del Harris who takes on an investigation when the son of the woman he loves is accused of murder.
The new season sees Del and Grace Poe (Maura Tierney) try to rebuild their lives. However a string of seemingly unrelated murders, hinting at a much larger conspiracy that threatens everyone in this small, tight-knit town.
Much of the first season cast is back including David Alvarez, Kyle Beltran, Alex Neustaedter, Rob Yang, Mark Pellegrino and Julie Mayorga.
They’re joined this time by Luna Lauren Velez, Nick Sandow, Christopher Denham, Marc Menchaca, Amelia Workman, Britian Seibert, Leon Addison Brown and Sara Lindsey.
“American Rust: Broken Justice” will arrive on Prime Video on March 28th.
