Netflix has ordered more episodes of its stop-motion animated TV series “Pokemon Concierge”, with the show already back in production.
The first four episodes premiered on Netflix on December 28th, clocking in at just 15 minutes each. The series unfolds at Pokemon Resort, a tropical island getaway for Pokemon creatures devoted to rest and relaxation.
Haru (Rena Nōnen on the Japanese audio track, Karen Fukuhara on the English dub) takes a trip to the resort and ends up becoming the newest concierge on staff.
She meets a variety of colorful Pokemon in the process, and befriends a lonely Psyduck. In a statement to Variety director Iku Ogawa, who scored an Annie Award nomination for his work on the series, says:
“I am happy to let you know that we are now working on the new episodes for ‘Pokémon Concierge!’. Life at the Pokémon Resort continues. Please look forward to it! Let’s see which Pokémon will come visit as a guest this time!.”
One of the show’s producers adds that while plenty of water-type Pokemon appeared in the first few episodes, new ones could include some not-so-friendly to aquatic action, such as electric-type Pokemon.
