Original “Pirates of the Caribbean” trilogy director and Oscar winner Gore Verbinski has finally set his next feature “Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die”.
Oscar winner Sam Rockwell, Emmy nominee Zazie Beetz, BAFTA winner Juno Temple, Michael Peña and Haley Lu Richardson are all onboard the project which has been set up at Constantin Film.
Matthew Robinson (“Love and Monsters”) penned the script for the film in which Rockwell plays a man from the future who arrives at a present-day diner in Los Angeles.
He must recruit a precise combination of disgruntled patrons to join him on a one-night-six-block quest to save the world from the terminal threat of a rogue artificial intelligence.
Additional casting is underway and filming is due to begin later this year in Cape Town. Verbinski, Denise Chamian, Robert Kulzer, Erwin Stoff and Oly Obst produce.
This will mark Verbinski’s first film since 2016’s “A Cure For Wellness”. The helmer also directed movies like “The Ring,” “Rango,” “The Mexican” and “The Lone Ranger”.
