Back in 2021 came the announcement that Syfy was ending its western horror series “Wynonna Earp” after four seasons.
The series followed the life of the great, great-granddaughter (Melanie Scrofano) of famous lawman Wyatt Earp as she faces off against the reincarnated outlaws that Wyatt killed.
Now, Vanity Fair has announced that the show will return later this year with a scripted 90-minute special for Tubi titled “Wynonna Earp: Vengeance”.
Penned by the show’s creator and executive producer, Emily Andras, the special will start filming around the show’s former Calgary locations shortly ahead of its late 2024 premiere.
Stars Melanie Scrofano (Wynonna Earp), Tim Rozon (Doc Holliday), Dom Provost-Chalkley (Waverly Earp), and Katherine Barrell (Nicole Haught) are all returning with other familiar faces also expected back.
The special will reportedly take place some time after the events at the end of the fourth season. In the interim, Doc and Wynonna have been on an adventure whilst Waverly and Nicole have been at home in Purgatory.
Paolo Barzman, who directed multiple episodes of the series, will helm the special.
