Sam Claflin, Bill Nighy, and Alexandra Roach are all attached to star in the new Amazon Prime Video psychological mystery thriller limited series “Lazarus” which hails from Harlan Coben and Danny Brocklehurst.

The series follows Laz, a well-respected forensic psychologist who has spent his whole life running from the pain of his past. He returns home after his father’s suicide and begins to have disturbing experiences that can’t be explained.

He quickly becomes entangled in a series of cold-case murders as he grapples with the mystery of the death of his psychologist father (Nighy) and his sister’s murder 25 years ago. Roach will play Jenna Lazarus, Laz’s surviving sister who has buried herself in a world of spiritual practice.

Coben and Brocklehurst will serve as writers and executive producers. Claflin, Nicola Shindler, Richard Fee and Wayne Che Yip will executive produce with Yip directing the first two episodes.

Coben is currently under an overall deal at Netflix but as this is an original idea as opposed to an adaptation of one of his books, it does not fall under said deal.

Coben, Brocklehurst, and the Quay Street production company all previously teamed for the Netflix series “Fool Me Once” based on Coben’s book of the same name – that show being a big hit for Netflix last month.
