John Krasinski and Natalie Portman are reportedly set to star in Guy Ritchie’s next directorial effort, “Fountain of Youth”, at Apple Original Films, Skydance Media, Vinson Films and Project X Entertainment.
James Vanderbilt penned the film which follows two estranged siblings (Krasinski and Portman) who partner on a global heist to find the mythological Fountain of Youth.
They must use their knowledge of history to follow clues on an epic adventure that will change their lives – and possibly lead to immortality.
Strike-related delays and windowing opened the door for Portman to score the female lead role, and filming begins in the first quarter of this year.
Ritchie, Vanderbilt, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, Tripp Vinson, William Sherak, Paul Neinstein, Jake Myers and Ivan Atkinson are all producing. Krasinski is currently in post-production on “IF” for Paramount.
The news comes after Apple and Skydance’s “The Family Plan” became the biggest film to premiere on the Apple TV+ service.
