By Actor Alden Ehrenreich has had quite the career, and in the last year, a myriad of projects ranging from Oppenheimer to Cocaine Bear. But 2023 was also important because it marked the year of his directorial debut with his short film (that he also wrote and starred in), the stellar Shadow Brother Sunday, a short that I wholeheartedly believe should be recognized in this upcoming Oscar race. It truly highlighted his flair and love of the art form with a talent we will surely see more of.
