“I am to blame for everything.” Netflix has revealed the official trailer for a supernatural mini-series titled My Sad Dead, also known as Mis muertos tristes in Spanish or My Sad Dead Ones. It’s the next project from acclaimed Chilean filmmaker Pablo Larraín, who last directed the feature Maria. Larrain directed all of the episodes in this new series – stating: “My Sad Dead shows us a city, a poverty, a violence, people and classes that have been forgotten. There is abandonment, death and love, but at its core, the terror lies in everyday life.” The 4-part limited series is based on the works of award-winning Argentine author Mariana Enriquez, and is set in Piedrabuena, a neighborhood plagued by violence in Argentina. A reclusive doctor with supernatural abilities faces a disruption when her young niece visits, bringing a different and more intense approach to their shared gift of communicating with spirits. The cast features Mercedes Morán as Ema, along with Dolores Fonzi, Alejandra Flechner, Carolina Alvarez, Carlos Portaluppi, Germán de Silva & Chilean actress Luz Jiménez.
