Five months out from its return, HBO Max has premiered the teaser trailer for the third season of “The Pitt,” which returns to screens in January.

The events of the third season will be set on November 12th 2026, the day after Veterans Day and a couple of weeks before Thanksgiving.

As such, the increasingly cold weather will have an impact on the cases the staff of the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center’s emergency department will see, from slick roads to boiler accidents.

At the same time, Noah Wyle’s Dr. Robby has begun therapy, and it’s having a positive effect on him. Returnees include Katherina LaNasa, Sepideh Moafi, Patrick Ball, Isa Briones, Shawn Hatosy, Taylor Dearden, Fiona Dourif, Shabana Azeez, Gerran Howell, and Ayesha Harris.

Pruitt Taylor Vince, Malachi Beasley, Cheyenne Perez, Jeremy Radin, Charlz Williams, and Rosanny Zayas also star while more new actors were announced this week in recurring roles.

These include Chris Diamantopoulos (“The Lincoln Lawyer”), as the hospital’s CMO, JB Tadena (“The Adventures of Cliff Booth”) as a physician, and the likes of Stephen Chang (“The Last of Us: Part II” game), Barry Clifton (“The Madison”), Chris Diamantopoulos (“The Lincoln Lawyer”), Lawrence Kao (“Criminal”), Brent Sexton (“Deadwood”), and Hannah Ware (“The First”) as patients.
