The first clip from The BBC’s new “Doctor Who” Christmas special has been released.
The episode is titled “The Church on Ruby Road” and will mark both Ncuti Gatwa’s first full solo adventure as the Fifteenth incarnation of the Time Lord.
It also introduces Millie Gibson’s Ruby Sunday who discovers a lair of full of mythical and mysterious goblins, with the clip showing off a full song number from the episode in which said creatures prepare to feed a human baby to their King.
According to the synopsis, little is known about Ruby Sunday as she was abandoned on Christmas Eve as a baby. Now living with her mum, Carla and grandmother, Cherry her world is about to be turned upside down.
Also starring are Michelle Greenidge as Ruby’s mum Carla, Angela Wynter as Ruby’s grandmother Cherry and Anita Dobson as Mrs. Flood, with Davina McCall as herself.
The “Doctor Who” Christmas special premieres on December 25th on BBC One, BBCiPlayer, and the Disney+ service. It comes ahead of a fourteenth season to air in 2024.
