Amazon MGM Studios has premiered the first poster for the latest incarnation of “The Thomas Crown Affair”. The one-sheet arrives ahead of the film’s teaser trailer going online tomorrow.
The original film starring Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway opened in 1968 and was remade in 1999 with the updated version starring Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo.
This new take sees Michael B. Jordan both leading and directing the project which also stars Adria Arjona, Kenneth Branagh, Lily Gladstone, Danai Gurira, Pilou Asbæk and Aiysha Hart.
Drew Pearce (“Iron Man 3,” “The Fall Guy”) wrote the script for the film which follows Thomas Crown (Jordan), a billionaire who cleverly steals a painting while another heist nearby distracts law enforcement.
He’s soon pursued by a female insurance investigator (Arjona), the two fall in love during the cat-and-mouse game. Taylor Russell was originally slated for the female lead, with Arjona taking over the part shortly after filming began in London.
The new “The Thomas Crown Affair” opens in cinemas on March 5th 2027.
