Sydney Sweeney is set to star in “Hollow,” what’s being dubbed an erotic retelling of the Sleepy Hollow story, which has landed at Sony Pictures.

Deadline broke the news, indicating the film is an adaptation of “Pet Sematary: Bloodlines” helmer Lindsey Anderson Beer’s upcoming debut novel.

Beer is set to adapt the script, produce and direct the film for Sony, Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap Entertainment label, and Sweeney’s newly launched Honey Trap company.

Beer’s book is a high-concept reimagining of Washington Irving’s 1820 short story “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” reframing the story through the perspective of Katrina Van Tassel.

In this take, Van Tassel is the central figure in a dangerous mystery and seductive supernatural love triangle. The work is said to blend “gothic atmosphere, psychological intrigue and erotic thriller” elements.

As a result, the casting for the other two parts of the love triangle – Brom Bones and Ichabod Crane – are expected to be hotly contested.

Alexandra Banks and Spencer Walken will executive produce.
