Warner Bros. Pictures has pushed back on a recent story claiming that Jonah Hill’s upcoming third feature-length ficitional directorial effort, the comedy “Cut Off,” is ‘unreleasable’.

Puck News posted the original report about the film, which last month was pulled from its planned July release date.

A spokesperson for the studio told The Wrap on Friday night: “that speculation is inaccurate”. A representative for Hill added that the film is “not finished” yet and currently in post-production.

Another source for the outlet says production on the project only wrapped back in January and Warners needed more time in the run-up to the release – so a new date will be forthcoming.

The story follows two rich siblings (Hill, Kristen Wiig) who are cut off from their parents and forced to learn how to support themselves for the first time.

Nathan Lane, Bette Midler, Adriana Barraza, Camila Cabello, Langston Kerman, Chelsea Peretti and Cary Christopher co-star. Ezra Woods penned the screenplay alongside Hill.

Hill previously directed “Mid90s” and the recent black comedy “Outcome”.
