A new featurette is out for Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey,” the clip going into the often difficult-to-reach shooting locations that Nolan filmed the movie in.

Shot across multiple parts of the Mediterranean, many of these locations have never really been done on film before because of the logistical issues of getting equipment, crew and cast into some of these areas.

The film tells the story of Odysseus, King of Ithaca, and his perilous journey home after the Trojan War, exploring themes of heroism, loyalty, cunning, and the struggle against divine will.

It includes iconic episodes like his encounters with the Cyclops Polyphemus, the Sirens, and the witch-goddess Circe, culminating in his reunion with his wife, Penelope.

Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron, Benny Safdie, Elliot Page, John Leguizamo, Himesh Patel, Bill Irwin, Jon Bernthal, Mia Goth and Corey Hawkins co-star.

Clocking at 172 minutes and rated R, the film is set to open in cinemas worldwide on July 17th.
