Hot off this morning’s casting talk, filmmaker Matt Reeves has used social media to show off the first photo from filming on “The Batman: Part II” in the UK.
The post confirms that David Fincher’s recent go-to cinematographer Erik Messerschmidt is lending his services as the film’s director of photography.
The shot, featuring a clapperboard indicating it’s Scene 26, shows off a body on a slab. It’s not clear who the body belongs to.
Speculation remains swirling regarding who the villains of the film will be after this morning’s claims that Sebastian Stan will play Victor Zsasz and not Harvey Dent as previously speculated.
The InSneider, which broke that story, also claims that DC and HBO will not move forward with a second season of “The Penguin” series – keeping that a limited series.
Filming on “The Batman: Part II” is expected to run through to the Fall in Liverpool and at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden. The film is set to be released in theaters on October 1st 2027.
