Aussies Sam Worthington (“Avatar”) and Jai Courtney (“Suicide Squad”) will be joined by “The Boys” star Jack Quaid, “IT” star Jaeden Martell, and “Lioness” actor LaMonica Garrett in the western drama “Blood on the Promontory”.
Ray Mendoza, who co-wrote and co-directed “Warfare” with Alex Garland, will direct this from a script by Evan Cooper.
The group plays five convicts trying to escape through the mountains following a violent train robbery, while shackled together by foot. Further character specifics are under wraps.
Nina Yang Bongiovi, Paul Hadad, Glenn Kleczkowski, and Mark Gillard are producing and filming is reportedly currently underway in Utah.
Worthington will next be seen in the Harlen Coben series “I Will Find You” and the crime thriller film “The Exiles,” and Courtney is currently in Taylor Sheridan’s “Dutton Ranch”.
Quaid will next appear in the comedy “Close Personal Friends” and Martell will soon appear in the Guillermo del Toro-produced “The Boy in the Iron Box” at Netflix.
