Warhorse Studios, the developers behind the highly acclaimed “Kingdom Come Deliverance” video games, are heading to Middle-earth.

The company has announced that they are working on an open-world RPG based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s fantasy universe.

As it’s early days, the studio has revealed very few details about the project so far, with timeline, characters, and plot all under wraps.

The announcement came via the company’s social media platform on X, adding that “we’re excited to tell you more when the time is right”.

The news also comes as parent company Embracer Group announced plans for Fellowship Entertainment, a new division focused on several of the company’s major entertainment properties.

Embracer Group’s IP includes franchises like “Deus Ex”, “Legacy of Kain”, “Saints Row”, “Red Faction” and “Thief”.
