Oscar winner Amy Madigan and veteran actor Steve Buscemi are among eight guest stars to sign up for “Sinners” and “Black Panther” director Ryan Coogler’s reboot of “The X-Files” at Hulu.
Deadline broke the news, adding that the other six are Ben Foster (“Christy”), Devery Jacobs (“Reservation Dogs”), Lochlyn Munro (“Scary Movie”), Tantoo Cardinal (“Killers of the Flower Moon”), Joel D. Montgrad (“True Detective: Night Country”) and Sofia Grace Clifton(“The Muppets Mayhem”).
The group joins previously cast leads Himesh Patel and Danielle Deadwyler, who play two highly decorated but vastly different FBI agents.
They form an unlikely bond when they are assigned to a long-shuttered division devoted to cases involving unexplained phenomena.
Coogler is writing and directing the pilot and serves as executive producer alongside original series creator Chris Carter, Jennifer Yale, Sev Ohanian and Zinzi Coogler.
Yale will serve as showrunner on the series, which hails from Onyx Collective Studio and 20th Television.
