AMC has released a new trailer for “The Vampire Lestat,” the upcoming follow-up to the highly acclaimed two-season adaptation of “Interview with the Vampire”.
This adapts Anne Rice’s second book and shifts the focus to Sam Reid’s Lestat as he becomes a rock star.
Louis (Jacob Anderson), Armand (Assad Zaman), Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian) and others are all back for the new run, as is Delainey Hayles as Claudia for visions or flashbacks.
Joining them are acting veteran Christopher Heyerdahl as Lestat’s mentor and Armand’s maker Marius de Romanus, while actor and playwright Damien Atkins will play Lestat’s late maker Magnus.
Ugandan-British actress/playwright Sheila Atim has been cast in the key role of Akasha, the Queen of the Damned.
Also onboard are Noah Reid (“Schitt’s Creek”) as Larry, Ryan Kattner (“Destroy All Neighbors”) as Salamander, Seamus Patterson (“Cabinet of Curiosities”) as Alex and Sarah Swire (“The Boys”) as TC.
Rollin Jones (“Perry Mason,” “Friday Night Lights,” “The Exorcist”) returns as showrunner on the new season, which returns on June 7th.
