Amazon’s Prime Video has released the first official photos from its anticipated live-action TV series adaptation of the “Fallout” video game franchise.
The photos come ahead of a likely first trailer launch shortly to tease the show’s arrival on the streamer on April 12th 2024.
The games unfold in a post-apocalyptic 1950s-themed United States. With each title, players take control of a different survivor trying to survive as they explore the outside American wasteland and defend themselves against the mutant creatures that now roam the Earth.
The series is not a direct adaptation or retelling of one of the acclaimed games such as “Fallout 3”. Instead, it’s a story that exists in the same world as the game but is its own thing.
The project hails from “Westworld” creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy and is based on the games that began in 1997 and spawned multiple sequels. Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner are the showrunners.
The cast is led by Ella Purnell as vault-dweller Lucy, Aaron Moten in the role of Maximus, Walton Goggins plays The Ghoul; and Kyle MacLachlan as Overseer Hank.
Additional cast includes Moises Arias, Sarita Choudhury, Michael Emerson, Leslie Uggams, Frances Turner, Dave Register, Zach Cherry, Johnny Pemberton, Rodrigo Luzzi, Annabel O’Hagan and Xelia Mendes-Jones.
