It was expected, and now it’s confirmed – Netflix has renewed its action-thriller series “The Night Agent” for a fourth season.
The news was revealed in a newly posted video in which tourists in New York pick up a ringing phone in the middle of Times Square.
The official renewal comes just a few weeks after the third season of the show, starring Gabriel Basso as Agent Peter Sutherland, premiered on the service in mid-February.
As previously reported, creator Shawn Ryan and the show’s team already has a writers’ room working on the new season with several scripts done.
It’s also confirmed that the new season will be shot in Los Angeles, thanks to a California state tax credit of around $31.6 million. So filming will need to begin soon to retain it. It also means a late 2027 release is likely being targeted.
The third season sees Sutherland tracking a dark money network with ties to the Presidency.
