Filming has gotten underway in Dublin, Ireland on the third season of Netflix’s “Wednesday”.

According to What’s On Netflix, a number of crew members have been posting Instagram stories confirming they’re at work on the new run with Open Brolly indicating shooting began this past Monday.

As previously reported, the series’s first new major cast member is Eva Green, who is confirmed for the role of Aunt Ophelia Frump – the mysterious and troubled sister of Morticia who was seen only from behind in the second season finale.

Returnees include Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, Emma Myers as Enid Sinclair, Hunter Doohan as Tyler Galpin, Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay, Evie Templeton as Agnes DeMille, Victor Dorobantu as Thing, Luis Guzman as Gomez Addams, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester and Joanna Lumley as Grandmama.

Filming on the new run is expected to continue through into this Summer ahead of a 2027 airing, the new run coming just under two years after the second season closed out in September 2025.

Co-creator Alfred Gough teased that we “will be seeing more Addams family members and learning more family secrets” in the new run.
