Game publisher Konami has indicated that they are in development of a new title in the “Silent Hill” franchise.

The project is separate from the previously confirmed remake of “Silent Hill 1” that Bloober Team, the developers who delivered 2024’s well-received “Silent Hill 2” remake, are currently working on.

It’s also likely not the upcoming “Silent Hill Townfall,” a smaller spin-off game coming early this year that hails from Screen Burn Interactive and Annapurna Interactive.

Konami’s latest Q3 earnings results offered an update on what’s to come from the franchise, with the company saying:

“As a continuation of our ongoing efforts, we are currently developing a brand-new title in the SILENT HILL series, as well as a remake of the first installment, SILENT HILL.”

Konami also indicates it is pursuing more multi-platform games, suggesting timed exclusivity deals with PlayStation might soon end:

“With networked entertainment offerings rapidly becoming mainstream, more people than ever before have a growing number of opportunities to enjoy playing games on any device. Under this situation, we will continue to propose ways for our games to be played so that even more people can enjoy them, regardless of the device they use.”

The last major entry in the franchise was the 1960s Japan-set “Silent Hill f”, which was released in September last year, receiving very good reviews and selling over 1 million copies on its first day of launch.
