A new period action film Bedlam is gearing up to deliver bone-crunching combat and grim atmosphere as Scott Adkins returns to his bare-knuckle roots.

Directed by Jon Shaikh, the film is set in 1750s London and centers on a fierce street fighter who infiltrates the infamous Bedlam asylum to rescue his sister, who has been wrongfully imprisoned by a powerful and corrupt duke.

The story plunges the boxer into a brutal underworld where cage fights, institutional cruelty, and political corruption collide. Once inside Bedlam, his mission spirals into chaos as escaped patients become violent adversaries, turning the rescue into a savage fight for survival and revenge. The premise blends historical grit with heightened action, promising a relentless descent into madness.

Production took place primarily in Romania throughout September, with additional filming in London during the first half of October, giving the film an authentic Old World texture. The setting and practical locations are expected to enhance the raw, grounded tone of the action.

Fresh off his scene-stealing turn as Killa in John Wick: Chapter 4, Adkins continues to champion hard-hitting genre films that favor physical performance and inventive fight choreography. This latest project reinforces his commitment to delivering distinctive, stripped-down action that thrives outside the studio system.
