Tesseract
Glen Powell is reportedly in negotiations to star in “Tesseract,” a new sci-fi feature from “Mr. Robot” creator Sam Esmail. Esmail, Scott Stuber, Nick Nesbitt and Chad Hamilton will produce with Powell and Dan Cohen in negotiations to join them.

Once a deal closes for Powell, the project will reportedly be a high priority for the studio. Powell’s next jobs are a second season of “Chad Powers” and an untitled Judd Apatow comedy at Universal. [Source: Deadline]

Criterion
Kleber Mendonça Filho’s “The Secret Agent,” Joachim Trier’s “Sentimental Value,” Jafar Panahi’s “It Was Just an Accident” are all being added to the Criterion Collection. Three of the most acclaimed films of 2025, all were titles under indie distributor Neon and all are expected to be Oscar contenders.

Previous Neon-Criterion collaborations include “Parasite,” “Anora,” “The Worst Person in the World,” “Portrait of a Lady on Fire,” “Triangle of Sadness,” “Perfect Days,” and the re-release of “Memories of Murder”. [Source: Variety]

Ted
Peacock has premiered the trailer for the second season of its comedy series “Ted” which returns on March 5th. It’s 1994, and the senior year of high school is underway for Ted the foul-mouthed teddy bear and his best friend, likable but awkward John Bennett.

Dunesday
Robert Downey Jr. appeared alongside Timothée Chalamet at a “Marty Supreme” Q&A this week where the former said they’ve given their approval for the fan-driven ‘Dunesday’ moniker to describe December 18th – the day both “Dune: Part Three” and “Avengers: Doomsday” open.

At a #MartySupreme Q&A last night, Robert Downey Jr. and Timothée Chalamet officially coined December 18th to be “Dunesday.”
