The MCU is dead, apparently. Except it isn’t. The search data from billions of internet users shows that Avengers Doomsday and Spider-Man: Brand New Day are clear winners for the most anticipated and searched for 2026 movies.
The betting markets concur, with Vegas Insider reporting that the odds favor these two, followed by Toy Story 5, Scream 7, Supergirl, The Cat in the Hat, Masters of the Universe, Street Fighter, The Odyssey, and then Wuthering Heights.
The money men also follow the pattern, with a poll of over 700 industry experts weighing in at Bloomberg to name Avengers: Doomsday by some distance. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Toy Story 5, and The Odyssey rounded out the top five. Dune: Part Three, The Mandalorian and Grogu, Minions 3, and the live-action Moana filled out the rest of the list.
Over in the mysterious East, Disney will be pleased as Avengers: Doomsday has ranked as China’s most anticipated foreign film. Dune: Part Three is second.
