Netflix has set April 24, 2026 for Apex, a survival thriller starring Charlize Theron and Taron Egerton.

Directed by Baltasar Kormakur, the film places both actors in a ruthless game of cat and mouse across the Australian wilderness. Theron plays a grieving woman seeking isolation, only to become the target of a serial killer, played by Egerton.

Shot in New South Wales, including the Blue Mountains, the film treats landscape as a central force, amplifying tension and danger. Kormakur describes Apex as a raw, character-driven survival story shaped by extreme terrain and relentless pursuit.
