Super Troopers 3: Winter Soldiers
Searchlight has announced that the Jay Chandrasekhar-directed “Super Troopers 3: Winter Soldiers” will be releasing in cinemas on August 7th 2026. A photo has been released offering a first look at the group of troopers as they return for a third film in the Broken Lizard comedy franchise.
Newcomer Andrew Dismukes is also in the shot. Marisa Coughlan, Nat Faxon, Chace Crawford, Andrew Dismukes, Hannah Simone, Iqbal Theba, Sakina Jaffrey, Jon Rudnitsky, and Lisa Gilroy co-star in the film. [Source: Searchlight]
Avengers: Secret Wars
Letitia Wright has confirmed that her MCU character of Shuri will return in “Avengers: Secret Wars”. Speaking with Screen Rant recently, she says: “That’s what I have to film next, Secret Wars. But Doomsday, we finished that, and that was very great.”
Marvel has yet to officially announce the cast for “Avengers: Secret Wars” which is slated to go into production next year. “Avengers: Doomsday” wrapped filming weeks ago and will be in post with additional filming to take place sometime in early-mid 2026.
The Simpsons Movie 2
Disney has announced that the release date of “The Simpsons Movie 2” has been pushed back by a little over a month. Originally slated for July 23rd 2027, the title will now debut September 3rd 2027. The project, which doesn’t have an official title, will arrive twenty years after the first film hit cinemas. [Source: Disney]
Mr. Men Little Miss
Following their success with the “Paddington” franchise, Studiocanal and Heyday Films are teaming for a film adaptation of Roger Hargreaves’ “Mr. Men Little Miss” pre-schooler book series which began in 1971.
The books follow a group of beloved characters with each defined by a single personality trait – Mr. Happy, Mr. Tickle, Mrs. Grumpy, Little Miss Naughty, Miss Sunshine, etc. The movie will build on a “Mr. Men Little Miss” animated series that’s now streaming on YouTube. [Source: Variety]

Warner Bros. Discovery is reportedly in talks with Universal Studios theme park operators to license its DC heroes for new rides. The company currently licenses its DC properties to Six Flags Entertainment Corp. The talks are at an early stage and don’t yet involve contractual negotiations. [Source: Bloomberg]
