Sometimes, scoops come from unexpected directions. A conference on Brand Licensing in London just gave us the first good look at Snake Mountain from the upcoming Masters Of The Universe live-action adaptation.

Out in the exhibition space, among all sorts of brands pushing licensed consumer products and IP heading to market in the next 24 months, was Amazon MGM Studios, with Mattel executives Greg Coleman and Ruth Henriquez featuring in the presentation, which pushed the upcoming movie.

One thing they showed was concept art of the movie version of Snake Mountain, Skeletor’s lair on Eternia. Most excellent He-Man fansite He-Mania got hold of an image and shared it via their X feed.

The first thing any Masters Of The Universe aficionado will see is that it is faithful to the original toys and animated show, like a lot of the other images that have been glimpsed.

In a related interview with Toonado.com, Henriquez said fans of the originals should be happy with the film, while Coleman talked up the scale of the movie and the level of detail in the design. He also said that director Travis Knight had a goal that you could enjoy the movie even if you weren’t familiar with the original IP.

Masters of the Universe is in theaters on June 5th, 2026.
