You know what’s great? Dogs, puppies, and cute little friends that bark. The problem with dogs is the people who exploit them for money, which is discussed in Dogspiracy. We were sent a trailer for a new British documentary about the exploitation of puppy farms.

I think it’s going to be one of those things that’s going to be upsetting, but worth a watch. We have been sent a screener, and I will review it when the embargo is lifted.

From the press release; Directed by Paul Crompton, Dogspiracy follows British vet, author and animal welfare campaigner Dr Marc Abraham OBE as he investigates the US puppy mill pipeline, canine fertility clinics and puppy smuggling.

In America and the UK he meets compassionate decision-makers who have the power to change the law. But he eventually uncovers a conspiracy that prevents important, essential legislation from being passed. This leads to frustration equalling many more years of legalised abuse.

Dogspiracy aims to empower the public to know how to do the right thing, despite obstruction by a few influential politicians.

I’m hoping there is a crossover with the John Wick universe. I know I have reviewed some pretty extreme cinema, but I know it’s all fake. It’s just actors acting, and special effects guys having fun.

Seeing real-life animals being harmed is beyond the line, though. It’s good to see people like Abraham trying to make a change and stop the terrible treatment of puppy farms.

Dogspiracy will have it’s UK premiere on the 22nd of July, and you can purchase tickets HERE.

Since Dogspiracy deals with a difficult subject, let’s cheer ourselves up with photos of your dogs or other pets.

Here is Bella, a pedigree English Bull Terrier. She belonged to our landlords, who we were renting from. However, she used to spend more time with us than with them.

I never thought I would love a Bull Terrier, but she had such a lovely personality. She passed away a couple of, due to old age, and I miss her.

Speaking of Dogspiracy, when my landlord got Bella, the previous owner said he was only contacted by breeders who wanted her. The guy said he wanted he to go to a family home, which is what we all gave her. My landlord owned a field, which he took her to every day. She would chase rabbits, play with other dogs, and had a very happy life.

My landlord did look at getting a litter from her, so they took her to the vet. The vet told him that someone had made her breed far too young, and any more litters might kill her. My landlord had her fixed, so that we didn’t lose her. If she had gone to a breeder, she would have had a very different life, which wouldn’t have lasted that long.
