Microsoft held its Xbox Games Showcase today with a couple of big announcements made. Here’s a breakdown of the key news beyond the new “Call of Duty” and Xbox handheld reveals:
“Gears of War: Reloaded” is set for August 26th, “Ninja Gaiden 4 ” for October 21st, “Super Meat Boy 3D” for 2026 and confirmed “Gears of War: E-Day” is coming sometime next year.
The DLC pack “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants” will be released on September 4th and will be a paid download (not on Game Pass).
Skybound Entertainment has revealed “Invincible VS,” a new 3v3 tag fighter video game based on Robert Kirkman’s award-winning comic book series “Invincible”.
Following the success of “Persona 3 Reload,” Atlus’ not-so-secret “Persona 4 Revival” has been announced but no date as yet
“Final Fantasy 16” is now available on Xbox Series X/S with “Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade” finally coming to the platform this Winter.
A third “A Plague Tale” game titled “Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy” is coming next year, and sequels to “High on Life,” “Planet of Lana” and “Grounded” were also revealed with the latter hitting July 29th.
DoubleFine’s lighthouse-set “Keeper” was announced, as was the cute “Aniimo,” “Mudang: Two Hearts,” Don’t Nod’s “Interstellar”-esque sci-fi “Aphelion,” the “Dead Space”-esque “Chronos: The New Dawn,” the “Monster Hunter”-esque “Beast of Reincarnation,” and the “Spirifarer” developer’s new game “At Fate’s End”.
The first footage was shown of Bam Margera in “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4,” while “The Outer Worlds 2” got a new story trailer.
