Dear Outposters, it’s time to gather in the great halls and start a debate. A debate of words, wills, and pure determination. Prepare yourselves, gentlemen and ladies, as we prepare for another great debate.
We are all here because we love movies; new, old, funny, sad, scary, or entertaining. When you use the word ‘movie’, we generally mean a film, a work of fiction, or a story of something that really happened. This is maybe a debate for another day.
A documentary isn’t really a movie, but they kind of are, as they do tell a story, but just in a different style from a film. I’m not a huge one for documentaries, but of late, I seem to have seen more and more.
The indie movies we get sent through tend to have a lot of documentaries included in them. Recently, I really enjoyed The Road to Patagonia, the documentary about a man travelling from Alaska to Patagonia, a journey of 30,000 miles.
Another great documentary was Wick is Pain, telling the story of the John Wick movies. It had interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and other footage, making it really interesting.
For this week’s great debate, the question is:
What’s a great documentary you’ve found interesting?
OK, they aren’t technically movies, but documentaries can be really interesting and very insightful. They can often raise debates of their own.
