As we all know, there are two new Avengers movies on the way: Doomsday and Secret Wars. Disney have been reshuffling the release dates of some movies, and both of these have been moved.
The release date for Doomsday and Secret Wars was supposed to be the 1st of May 2026 and then the 7th of May 2027. This has now been moved back to the 18th of December 2026 for Doomsday and 17th December 2027 for Secret Wars.
More movies have been moved around. There is an as-yet-untitled Marvel project that was supposed to be released in February 2026, but has now been removed. Two more unnamed movies have been removed that were due for release in November 2026 and November 2027.
Both of the last two unnamed projects are being replaced with two unnamed Disney movies. Odd, isn’t it?
Fantastic Four: First Steps is due out on the 25th of June, with the next MCU movie being Spider-Man: Brand New Day, set for July 2026. That will be one year between any Marvel movies.
Robert Downey Jr. recently shared some images from behind the scenes of Doomsday. So it seems everything was on schedule, but there was obviously a reason why it was moved.
The Russo Brothers are back in the director’s chairs for the MCU. They have still made the best of the MCU movies, The Winter Soldier and Civil War. They also did both Infinity Wars and Endgame, where it all ended.
