Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is his love letter to the late-60s in LA. A tribute to a bygone age of Hollywood set around the tragic death of Sharon Tate. It now looks like a sequel is in the works.

We know that Tarantino has said he’s only planning to make one more movie, but this Once Upon a Time sequel won’t be it. Tarantino is writing, but David Fincher is going to direct. The movie will focus on stuntman Cliff Booth, played by Brad Pitt, who will be reprising his role.

Fincher and Pitt are well known to each other, both working together in Se7en, Fight Club and Benjamin Button. Will it be another classic for the two of them?

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, the sequel, is believed to be based on The Movie Critic. This was supposed to be Tarantino’s tenth movie, but it never got off the ground. Reports say that Fincher’s new movie won’t be The Movie Critic, but it will have a lot of references, scenes and ideas from it.

There was a novelisation of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which expanded on Cliff Booth’s life. There is no news yet if Leonardo DiCaprio will be back as Rick Dolton.

Fincher is working with Netflix a lot at the moment and will be making a new movie for them this summer. Shooting for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will probably take place next year.
