A listing on the AMC Theaters website has confirmed that Marvel Studios’ upcoming “Captain America: Brave New World” has the shortest runtime of any film in that franchise to date.

Anthony Mackie is reprising his role as Sam Wilson/Captain America in the film, marking his first time leading the franchise after serving in a supporting capacity since the second one.

The nw film reportedly clocks in at 118 minutes, just under two hours. That’s compared to the 124 minutes of “Captain America: The First Avenger,” the 136 minutes of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” and the 147 minutes of “Captain America: Civil War”.

Chris Evans starred as Steve Rogers/Captain America in all three of those movies but isn’t returning here. The new film is still far from the shortest Marvel movie, that being 2023’s “The Marvels” at 105 minutes.

After meeting with newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross (Harrison Ford), Sam finds himself in the middle of an international incident in the new film. He must discover the reason behind a nefarious global plot before the true mastermind has the entire world seeing red.

Co-starring are Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres/Falcon, Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, Giancarlo Esposito as Seth Voelker/Sidewinder, Liv Tyler as Betty Ross, and Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns/Leader.

Julius Onah helms the film which will be released in U.S. theaters on February 14th.
