24 hours ahead of the first trailer for James Gunn’s “Superman” launching online, Warner Bros. Pictures and DC have unveiled a 30-second clip teasing the arrival of the trailer.

The clip finally shows us the first footage from the film with looks at Superman in flight, Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, The Daily Planet building, lots of random crowd shots, and an idea of the film’s overall look and tone.

The clip uses the same music seen in the motion poster the other day – a melodic and slightly hummed version of John Williams’ iconic theme from the original Christopher Reeve films.

As expected, some elements are being held back until tomorrow including good looks at the suit and David Corenswet in the role, and the clip has no sign of any other heroes or villains like Nic Hoult’s Lex Luthor.

The new film will follow Superman as he looks to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned. Rachel Brosnahan, Isabel Merced, Nathan Fillion, Anthony Carrigan, Skyler Gisondo and Milly Alcock co-star.

The trailer launches at 6am US-PT tomorrow. “Superman” is set to fly into cinemas on July 11th 2025.
