By Mason Gooding will reprise his role of Chad Meeks-Martin in the seventh installment of the “Scream” horror franchise at Paramount Pictures.
Jasmin Savoy Brown, who plays Chad’s sister Mindy, is not officially signed on yet. The pair, along with Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega, were introduced in the fifth film with all reprising their roles in the sixth film.
Both Barrera and Ortega have effectively exited the franchise with Neve Campbell’s Sidney Prescott taking center stage once again for the new entry which also sees writer Kevin Williamson’s first time directing one of the films.
The production has made it through delays, creative overhauls and cast shakeups. At present the cast includes Campbell, Gooding, Isabel May, McKenna Grace, Sam Rechner and Asa Germann.
Courteney Cox has reportedly been circling but has still not officially signed to play Gale Weathers.
“Scream 7” is slated to release in theaters on February 27th 2026. Gooding can currently be seen in Kyle Mooney’s disaster comedy “Y2K” in cinemas.
