Max has premiered the the first trailer for “The Pitt,” a new medical drama which sees former “ER” star Noah Wyle returning to the emergency room.

Producers John Wells and R. Scott Gemmill, who also worked with Wyle on that famed series, reunite on this.

Each episode will focus on one hour of Dr. Robby’s (Wyle) 15-hour shift as the chief attendant in Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital’s emergency room.

The project is said to be a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today’s America as seen through the lens of the frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh.

The series also stars Tracy Ifeachor, Patrick Ball, Gerran Howell, Supriya Ganesh, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Isa Briones, Shabana Azeez and Katherine LaNasa.

Wyle serves as an executive producer alongside Wells and showrunner Gemmill. The first two episodes premiere January 9th with new episodes hitting the streamer every Thursday until the finale on April 10th.
